Dance

The images of ontemporary dance photographer, Lois Greenfield, capture movement otherwise unseen by the human eye, using fast shutter speeds of up to 1/500 of a second and a flash at 1/2000 of a second. She captures a delicate, unique photographic movement in time that only lasts for a 500th of a second. As she says
"I love impossible looking situations that allude to the moments before and after the shutter’s click. I want the viewer to wonder, 'Where is he coming from? How will he land?'... I’m always looking for something that is going to confound the viewer. It’s about creating a mystery”

I just love the way they look as though they are floating in impossible positions otherwise unseen!
